"The hotel is beautiful with such history and so graciously kept with a superb reception experience and of course the breakfast & service was of a very high standard."

"We were warned about the stairs so pack light - great upfront notice."

"The location and the very nice “Erasmus-style” atmosphere."

"The breakfast was very good. Room was cosy, as though taken out of a fairy tale."

"The shower needs to be fixed to the wall."

"Great welcome, great breakfast, interesting building and friendly staff"

"No upright shower in our room"

"Lovely small hotel in a 16th century house a short walk from the historic centre and all the main sights. Our room had lots of character with a beamed ceiling and magnificent fireplace. The bed was comfortable. There was a good cold breakfast buffet, with eggs cooked to order. The breakfast room over looks a pretty garden. Staff were friendly."

"Be aware that because of the nature of the property there is no lift and the stairs are steep. To be fair, we were warned of this and were able to request a room on the first floor. There was no shower as such - just a shower attachment on the bath."

"Excellent location, very close to the centre of the city. Room spacious and quite, very comfortable large bed. Possibility to make coffee/tea in the room. Perfect place to stay, but the best part is the breakfast room - I loved the ancient spirit with historical decorations and the small garden outside. Breakfast delicious with enough variety. Staff very nice and helpful."

"Furniture is not new, but this is part of the historical spirit, and everything was functioning and clean."

"Great location Comfortable and traditional room Lovely breakfast"

"Took a while to get hot water and ni curtain for shower"

"Very good location, literally two minutes to the centre of town. The MD, Peter, couldn’t be more helpful!"
