"It was truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The golden grass, surrounding mountains, and horses created such a picturesque and peaceful atmosphere — it felt like paradise. The house itself is small but very cozy and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to come back!"

"El hotel se encuentra en la zona portuaria. Como la ciudad es pequeña y el transporte publico es eficiente, no es limitativo. En esa zona hay varias atracciones como museos y espectáculos que permiten visualizar las características del país. El muelle desde donde salen las embarcaciones para ver ballenas está en las inmediaciones."

Can’t find the hostel easily and no sign board shown. Therefore look for Hotel Kanslarinn for check in then will find hostel next to restaurant

"Location was perfect once we found it. Taxi dropped us off on a different street due to Laugavegur being pedestrianised. (For future guests, it is opposite the Bioeffect shop). The property is spacious and well equipped and within walking distance to attractions and tour bus stops."

It could be a nice addition if it would be possible for people staying in one of the apartments, to have early or late access for maybe 30 minutes to the lagoon 😊

"This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and we are so incredibly happy we chose it. It easily became one of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed — we only wish we could have stayed longer. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We did need to download WhatsApp to open the gate since we didn’t have Icelandic mobile numbers, but once that was sorted everything was seamless. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into the space — there were extra towels, lanterns, and so many thoughtful touches that made it feel comfortable and special. Overall though, this place was incredible and we would absolutely stay again. It was such a special spot for our honeymoon."

Just a couple of small things to note: there was shampoo provided but no conditioner, and we didn’t have dishwasher soap during our stay. The cookware is also a bit limited if you’re planning to prepare larger or more elaborate meals. We also ran out of hot water while trying to fill the bathtub, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re hoping for a long soak.

"I loved the customer service. Emilie was phenomenal and she ensured we had the best stay possible, and all the other staff were also kind and considerate! We felt like we always had someone to ask for help, which was so important for us as first timers in Iceland. We learned so much from them and they were more than accommodating of our requests. The view from our room was absolutely incredible. Plenty of parking available and there’s always a space."

The rooms are a bit smaller than expected in the pictures, we stayed in a penthouse suite but it felt more like a regular room with a nice view.
