"Hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast spread was fantastic. Facilities were superb. We arrived in a heatwave unseasonably hot at 38-44 degrees usually much less than 35 degrees. Hotel was cool, clean, spacious and really nicely positioned overlooking the river Vienne on a quite off road. A great stay all round."

"Our very friendly, interesting and welcoming host showed us inside the house and it was absolutely gorgeous! We were wowed. Beautiful accommodation, grounds and setting and the hospitality we received was fantastic. We were provided with some local recommendations for food and events upon which we followed up. We also enjoyed an early morning run along the river on a route suggested by the host. Our bed was particularly comfortable and we were able to taste the 'home-grown' honey with our breakfast. Would definitely be delighted to stay here again! Our favourite B&B in France so far: so nice."

"Situated on the French side, a short distance from the mile stone of Germany and French border. A thoroughly renovated old property with modern facilities. Three twin bedded rooms and one triple beds room. A quaint and peace full small town closer to woods and German Autobahn and fairly in the Black Forest region too. Nature walks, Hiking trails and places of touristic interest in the region. It is a large upper floor of a family heritage home. The owner runs runs a resto-bar "Auberge Du Parc" on the ground level of same building. Please look for this restaurant which is at the crossroads junction. The accommodation is well equipped with complete set of kitchen appliances and facilities, washing machine and all the essential amenities besides fresh linen for a comfortable stay. We will always recommend this place and stay again when in this area."

"What a great welcome we had on our arrival. Valerie and Bruno are superb hosts. They manage a beautiful home in a great location. We were only there for one night but in that time we realised they would make great friends. When we are back in this part of France this would definitely be our go to place to stay. We were sorry to leave. Great breakfast cooked while we sampled the local fruit and bread/juice. Their hospitality was outstanding. Thank you so much. We are planning to return."

"Everything good that was said before about La Greande Mare, is sbsolutely true. The host was most friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was well laid out, superbly and tastefully furnished. An absolute pleasure to stay. Breakfast was ample, tasty and served in an equally beautiful breakfast room with a view onto a beautiful pool area. Really worth a revisit. Also, a special word of thanks and appreciation to Madame Claude Gilbert for her help in sourcing a garage when we encountered the loss of a car tire. Thank you Madame, your assistance aided in us continuing our holiday trip."
"Bigger than average room, beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Quiet location in a cute little village but easily accessible. Continental breakfast was lovely with plenty of cold meats, cheese and fruit on offer. Hostess Monica was kind and attentive and looked after us very well."
