"The place is beautiful. A recently renovated old farm in the middle of nowhere with all the facilities you need. Unfortunately, I stayed just one night, but my kids would have been happy to stay longer. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, and good taste in decorations. The story of the ferme is interesting. "Nice size appartment for 4, nice bug table for card games in the night. Can cook simple meals. Location is 5 minutes walk from the castle and a supermarket is located on the next block. Parking was good. Just get a week parking pass for the whole city for 15 euro. On Sunday parking is difficult due to market and general business in the city. Would recommend."

I came with my autistic 8 year old and she was so pleasant to him and was patient with him and attended to his plenty demands with a smile. She was so helpful as well and made us feel extra welcome. "We stayed at Leira at the beginning and end of our trip, arriving late on the first occasion and leaving early on the morning of our second visit. On both occasions, Ariel was a very kind and welcoming hostess who was happy to converse, despite my less than perfect French! The room was homely with a private bathroom and toilet and the bed was very comfortable. It was also useful to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Ariel provided a fabulous breakfast including homemade jams and banana bread and the setting overlooking the garden was beautiful. On our second stay, when we had to leave early, Ariel supplied us with a packed breakfast to take with us which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The location is close to Caen and the coast and was also very convenient for the Caen-Portsmouth ferry."
