"I loved that it was nestled in its own private space. There are 4 lodges in the vicinity and all have their own balcony’s that you can enjoy individually. Our water pressure was great. Also the unit was nice and clean."

Nothing: We actually didn’t book the transfers cause we had another vehicle organised however that fell through. But mama let us go first to the lodge and she’d wait at the airport. Lucky she got a ride back home from the family at airport. She has an immense amount of responsibility and knowledge of the island. As a local to Rarotonga people like her are very rare to be around. "This property was tucked away in the rain forest. Alejandro was exceptional, his knowledge of nature and the beneficial properties of plants from his garden which he had specifically grown was like having a professor with us all the time. He and His wife Christiana also incorporated some of the fruit and vegetables into our stunning breakfasts which were freshly prepared each morning.. Alejandro was incredibly helpful booking restaurants. He always greeted us with a smile and was a perfect host. We felt perfectly relaxed by the end of the stay."

Would have liked more light, and water pressure but to be honest we didn’t mention it to him so he could fix it.

"If you want a peaceful, calm and stunning environment, this is the place. It is simple, but has everything you need in a beautiful setting. Perfect for nature lovers who don't want to be on top of other guests."

Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

"Great location at the South side of Song Kul lake. Breakfast was tasty and plenty. You can also get (packed) lunches and dinner. Phone reception is good and you can charge your phone in the evening in the main yurt. Stayed for two nights there. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!"

"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

"We were spoilt with kindness…the staff went out of their way to look after us - even cooking a birthday cake for me at very short notice. The property was very comfortable as and clean and our room looking out into the water holes that the animals came to in the evening and mornings"

"Lodge was great with comfortable room, excellent buffet dining room facility and small swimming pool to cool off in between excursions. The highlights are the 2-3 times daily excursions which really make the high cost absolutely worth it. Our guide, Alfredo, was amazing, bi-lingual, sensitive to the local environment and even played the guitar over dinner and breakfast!"

Only downside really is the fact that there is only 1 included boat time to the lodge and back from Iquitos. We had to pay $180 extra for a personal boat because LatAm airlines brought our flight forward - not the lodge's fault, but something to look out for.

The loud music from the local village for two nights but it was Christmas so I'm sure an exception.

"Comfortable stay in a Vintage house, outback-Australia style. Has all things in the kitchen to use if self catering.Hot shower .Central, close to a lovely beach and restaurants. But 2 km from main supermarket. Recommended"
