"Friendly staff and great location. We asked for a room change due to fear of heights and they solved it very quickly. The hotel also has a restaurant and a Bar where every once in a while there is karaoke night"

"Staff are generally very polite and very helpful. Many thanks to a beautiful staff, Yolotzi who worked very efficient to change another room for us due to mosquito issue. And her English is good enough to tell correct information about the event parade, or else we would feel very sorry to miss it. Thankful for the guy who gave us mosquito repellent, otherwise, we would stay up all night. The decoration for the day of the dead was excellent, very attractive. The location is supreme, very convenient to go to the way of Zocalo and the other way of palacio Belles Artes as well."

"It's an excellent hotel, I stay there every single time we stay in Mexico city, the staff is amazing and uplifting, and they take good care of guests, with advise and a smile on their face."
"Nothing, tho I would caution late risers because the noise can start really really, if you need to wake up late, ask for a room that doesn't face the street."
"My favorite spot to crash in Mexico City. Its old fashioned style thrills me."
"All good"
"Awesome location for Zocalo and Centro dining - both fancy and street. Staff always friendly and obliging. Get the real inner city living feel."
"It's a budget tourist hotel.. Bathroom and room facilities are simple but functional."
"Great location in the Centro Histórico. Friendly, accommodating staff"
"Rates have risen significantly since pre-covid, but most other hotels have, too."
"Location if you want central is perfect. Most day trips are pick up right outside the hotel . It's an old colonial style building. Lots of character. It could do with a makeover but for the price? You really can't complain Rooms are very echoing as they are really high ceilings . I could hear a lot of noise sometimes as there's a courtyard the rooms all surround . Not terrible though. But if you are a moaner and want utter silence look elsewhere. They have a little bar and they also have a restaurant. I did eat at the restaurant and I cant complain. Plenty of food and good prices too. It was also busy so that says a lot . Open to non residents too ."
"OK not the best place I've stayed . . Having to leave your key at the reception felt a bit out dated but its key locks and it's their policy. Not the end of the world . Room service wasn't daily . I'm sure if you ask it will get sorted though . The staff are extremely friendly and speak English."
"I love historical hotels, and this one was fabulous. It has an excellent location, in the Centro Historico of Mexico City. The staff were very friendly and spoke some English, which was very helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. When I arrived they were decorating in the lobby for the Day of the Dead celebration. The decorations were absolutely spectacular! I would definitely stay here again."
"The pillows were a bit too hard for me. The bed mattress was also firm, but I like it that way."

"La comodidad de la habitación, cama cómoda. Muy agradable el servicio para el desayuno, método en finde semana bufet, todo muy rico y el personal muy amable, solo el segundo día no alcancé porque salí temprano y aún no estaban listos, fue día festivo y asumo que también tenían menos personal, pero volvería sin problema me agradó"

"Great affordable place at a perfect location in Oaxaca city! Relatively quiet considering how central it is because of the huge inside yard on the first floor. Friendly people that even let us leave our bags during the day when we came back to town 4 days after we stayed there!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bonita. We had initially booked for one night last minute, and ended up staying for seven! The staff was very friendly, and we’d especially like to thank Eduardo who was helpful. Breakfast is the same every day, but it’s very good and really fills you up! The restaurant is great as well — we loved the cocktails there. The room was clean, and we had access to the swimming pool, gym, and parking… nothing more to ask for! I would highly recommend staying here if you have a car and want to get to Oaxaca Center whenever you like."

"A nice and relaxed hotel, close to the beach, with two pools as alternatives to the strong waves. Comfortable king size bed, small fridge and bathroom. Basic but okay. Good breakfast (was included) and a restaurant. Some simple eateries in walkable distance. Nice staff, helpful."
Avis de Nygren Hotel La Roca Costa Esmeralda
"Beautiful quiet location out on an old Agave farm. Private punge pool, huge bungalow, great communal pool, two restaurants serving lovely food, and we had the place almost to ourselves. You can walk the grounds and have access to their own Cenote. It would work as a base to discover Merida and the surrounding area."
