"We appreciated this smaller, family friendly resort for a 3 generation holiday. The rooms were clean, the beds were excellent, and the facilities were spacious, if needing a little spruce up in places. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the activities that were available through the day. The kids helped find hermit crabs, and toads for the evening races😊. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fish life found snorkeling just right off the beach. There are also kayaks available to use in the safe lagoon. The accessibility of the village kept us grounded in the local community. Some of the evening entertainment by the local village people singing/dancing was just superb."

We had a car, so could get off-site for days like doing river-tubing(excellent!!), and the Kula Wildlife park(also an excellent outing) Breakfast was an ample continental breakfast with the option to buy cooked breakfast. Lunch menu was limited but very good. Sorry staff - but we did feel the evening meals sometimes let you down, being fairly expensive for a 3 star resort, and sometimes just lacking in veges and taste. The staff were adaptable for children, and did produce things not on the menu, like fried vege rice. We appreciated being able to order earlier for the children. We did pop out for some cheaper evening meals about 25 minutes away.

"The hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely polite. They made us feel very welcome. The facilities of the indoor pool and spa are very clean and well kept. The gym is a plus - very clean and well equipped with a nice view, and it it is open 24/7. The room was very clean. We were given an upgrade, which we appreciated immensely. We ate at The Essence of India which is one of the restaurants at the hotel, and it was to die for. A must when visiting Malta! Overall, a lovely weekend stay, nice and relaxing."

The gym itself is well equipped and clean but can only be reached from the outside. We were there in winter and it was very windy to reach it. So make sure to get a jacket. For the ladies, make sure to have a shower cap on hand as unfortunately our room had a fixed hanging shower faucet which was not ideal but doable. The breakfast is by set time seating, so make sure to plan your stay and book accordingly. When it came to the breakfast food although very good in taste and quality, it was not as vast as I would have expected - especially the desserts. I am a chocolate lover, and there was only one chocolate sponge cake and one choc-au-pain. I am a nutella lover and would have loved a nutella croissant or something along that sort of dessert for breakfast. I however emphasise on how polite and helpful the staff are!

"The view from our room, any room in fact, looked out over the crashing waves that rolled in from the Indian Ocean. Biggest room weve had in Bali.The staff were ready to look after our every whim. They brought meals in from outside restaurants. Instead of 2 tiny water bottles per day they provided a 20 litre water dispenser. The pool overlooked the black pebbly beach. The surrounding area was not overwhelmed by tourists and the locals were 1980's friendly."

"Nice and spaceous property just a 5-10 min drive from Tahko Ski Resort. 3 of the rooms out of 4 had private bathrooms, which was very convinient. Also the sauna was very specious. Would come back again!"

"The villa had great privacy, beautiful landscaping, a good layout for our group. It was well-equipped with essentials for cooking/serving. The salt pool was perfect for cooling off after a hike. It was just big enough and always seemed to be at the right temperature. We were delighted by fireflies, tree frogs, bats, local birds, and even a shy ginger cat that wandered past once or twice."

THE ROAD- while we expected a rough access road from reading previous reviews, the construction during our stay detoured us through the banana plantation over an intolerably (for anyone with neck/back problems) rough track that was 4x longer. While the ocean (not a swimming beach) is close enough to hear, there is not much view. It is a peek from one corner of the pool deck, and the upper bedroom. But again, wonderful privacy. Also of note- there are no bug screens on the windows. It was perhaps an assumption on our part with the newer construction, but the mosquitoes did cause some distress, especially for one member of our group. Bring bug spray, After-Bite (anti-itch), and Benadryl if you are prone to reactions.

Organised tours available for guests from tourist agencies, for self organised guests rent-a-car is the only option for sightseeing. Some facilities require better maintenance.

Les coupures d'électricité durant tout un après-midi sont aussi à prendre en compte. Enfin les matelas et les serviettes autour de la piscine semblent une option.

Swimming,impossible, as almost everywhere on the island the water is too shallow and sea urchins.

"The location is the best. Easy access when arriving at Lac Rose. Most activities are located right in front of the hotel (horse/camel riding, quad rental to ride in the sand dunes, etc). The hotel is literally on the lake, with the terrasse and dining area built over the water."

Some items on the menu tasted like they were not fresh. The AC in the room was a bit underperforming and noisy. The lock on the glass door going to the balcony was broken and could not be locked.

La habitación recomendaría mejorar las camas, nos tocó dos camas muy blancas dónde el cuerpo queda undido en los colchones, recomendaría colchones un poco más firmes, las últimas noches pasé con dolor de espalda a la altura de la cintura. Pero en general es solo mi opinión, el resto acorde.

Auch das Bad war sehr geräumig und hochwertig gestaltet. Über die Terrasse mit eigenem Strandkorb hatte man einen wunderbaren Blick Richtung Bodden – perfekt, um abends den Tag ausklingen zu lassen"

Das Zimmer ließ sich trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten nur bedingt abdunkeln, da durch die Milchglastür früh Tageslicht hereinkam. Bei der Ankunft war es zudem recht staubig, was etwas den ersten Eindruck trübte. Außerdem war der Kaffeeweißer aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel hart geworden.

"Exceptional site and lovely beaches & swimming pools with good restaurants"

The fact that, despite the heat, rooms were not supplied with drinking water & this had to be ordered from room service at $5 a small bottle. We had just arrived from staying at the Hamilton Princess hotel in Bermuda &, as is normal for luxury hotels of this standard, that had no problem in supplying drinking water to guests free of charge.

"A good hotel with a decent and tasty breakfast served in an interestingly located restaurant. The rooms are clean and spacious. It's pleasantly cool in summer even during the heat, although there's no air conditioning. A special highlight is the mountain river flowing nearby — you can hear its sound at night. The location is truly excellent, especially convenient because the free shuttle bus stop is right next to the hotel. In the pool, the water is very warm, but it was impossible to use it — all the spots around the pool were constantly occupied."

The resort is not in walking distance to San Ignacio. You need a car (and worse a parking spot) to go there. This makes you dependent on the hotel‘s facilities and restaurant. Be aware that the breakfast included only means a small selection of breakfast choices. Whenever you want something extra eg eggs you pay extra! You pay a 10% „service charge“ on everything, even on the organization of tours, which is quite a ripoff. I did some activities organized by the hotel. These tours (especially the mayan cooking class) are real good, however as a single I had to pay for two people (minus a small discount). Moreover, tax & „service charge“ were added to the net prices mentioned in the flyer. Taken together this makes these tours unacceptably expensive.

"The location is right in the heart of Georgetown, within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. The accommodation is beautifully designed,easily the best I’ve seen in Penang. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure we were well taken care of."

If I were to nitpick, the dinner menu could be a bit more interesting. Other than that, everything was great.

"The hotel was exceptional from arriving to leaving. The little touches make it extra special like free mini bar, little gifts in your room every evening, water hampers on the beach. The beach is amazing, all rooms have perfect views. Staff are very attentive. Breakfast has the best choices, one of the best I have had. Michelin star restaurant is fabulous would definitely recommend."

There was nothing significant to complain about. Overall, the experience met and even exceeded my expectations.

The food in the restaurant was very poor - surprisingly for a country like Kyrgyzstan where generally the food is excellent

"Great pools, no rush to grab a lounger in the morning, comfy bed, good shower, excellent location right in the middle of The Gap. The crazy golf course was superb! Gardens were large and well kept."

Bar was expensive so no-one really used it. Pure Ocean restaurant was just ok. Apartment was a bit tired in places. Felt it was expensive for what it was but worth paying the extra for pool/garden view.
